Working as a freelance community manager for a Latin community online store in Vancouver was an incredibly rewarding and inspiring experience. I had the opportunity to connect with and engage a vibrant and passionate community of individuals who share a common love and appreciation for Latin culture.

Through my work, I helped to create a sense of belonging and unity within this community, fostering connections and building relationships that will have a lasting impact on both the individuals involved and the wider Latin community in Vancouver. Some of my tasks, while I was working for them, were:

  • Develop and execute a community management strategy to increase engagement, loyalty, and advocacy among customers and fans of the brand.

  • Monitor social media channels, review sites, and other online platforms to identify opportunities for engagement and respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Build and nurture relationships with customers, influencers, and other stakeholders through personalization, empathy, and transparency.

  • Create and curate content that resonates with the target audience and aligns with the brand's values and messaging, including blog posts, videos, images, memes, and other forms of multimedia.

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, customer service, product development) to align community initiatives with broader business objectives and maximize impact and ROI.

  • Organize and host events, contests, giveaways, and other community-building activities that foster a sense of belonging and fun among customers.
